Understanding Patient Needs
Karina noticed a common trend among her patients in her practice as a nurse practitioner. She found that many sought more comprehensive care beyond quick-fix solutions. Similarly, they also expressed a desire to move away from traditional pharmaceuticals towards a more holistic approach focused on managing overall health. This thus motivated her to make an conscious effort to dedicate more time to her patients. It also led her to actively listen to clients’ experiences and how they interacted with their surroundings. As well as prompting her to also further explore their personal backgrounds and mindsets, guiding her to embrace the principles of functional medicine.
Prioritizing Individualized Care
Central to Karina’s philosophy as a nurse practitioner is her belief in the importance of individualized care. She prioritizes strategies aimed at preventing chronic illnesses, promoting overall well-being, and identifying the underlying causes of health issues.

She trusts that with the right personalized care, individuals can explore their innate potential to manage various health challenges.
Aside from seeing clients as a nurse practitioner, in her free time, Karina finds joy in nurturing her personal well-being.
