Dr. Naomi Ha | Introduction
Hi everyone, I am Dr. Naomi! I wanted to introduce myself as I have just started my practice at Naturopathic Living. I am so excited to be serving the Unionville community. The focus of my practice is in focuses on women’s health concerns, including hormonal imbalances such as PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome), and infertility. I also provide care for the comorbid conditions that are often associated with these imbalances: stress, anxiety, sleep disturbance and weight gain. In addition, I am certified to provide Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture to promote a natural lifting of the face for a more youthful appearance. What Can I Expect from Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture?
We all experience changes as we age, especially where skin health is concerned. As we age, we start to notice less skin elasticity, resulting in areas of loose skin around the eyes, cheeks and jawline and loss of firmness. Fine lines or wrinkles may start to appear as well, due to lower natural production of collagen. Facial rejuvenation acupuncture is a service that supports all these concerns to provide a natural lift of the face, fill in fine lines, and promote healthy skin texture and appearance.
What does this service entail?
Your practitioner will devise a protocol of facial acupuncture points, according to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) theory, to address your specific concerns. Needles are inserted into these points to stimulate the underlying facial muscles to promote a and lifted appearance. Smaller, intradermal needles will be inserted along fine lines or around any under-eye bags to stimulate collagen production to ease the appearance of these lines and support firmness. To prevent overstimulation of the face, additional needles are inserted along distal areas of the body to support relaxation. The needles are retained for a period of 20 minutes after all the needles have been inserted. After the needles are removed, you will receive a facial massage with an application of facial oil, and lymphatic drainage with gua sha and jade rolling. The total service takes about 60 minutes.
What can I expect from this service?
Typically the day after a service, patients will notice several changes: their face now has a gentle uplifted appearance, they notice more sculpted cheek bones, a brighter complexion, eased fine lines, diminished under-eye bags and firmness along the jawline and sides of the face. Unfortunately, these changes will fade quickly after your first visit. However, with regular sessions, you’ll be able to maintain these improvements for longer. In addition to these cosmetic changes, you can expect a session that supports relaxation. Many clients notice that they sleep better that night too.
What is my commitment?
Each service session builds on the of the previous session. For optimal , a series of 10 weekly sessions is recommended initially. To maintain the , subsequent sessions can be spaced further apart, every other month or so.
